• CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF IN BRIEF SIR ?

My name is Mike AbduL, I’m a singer, songwriter and music producer.

• TELL US SHORTLY HOW IT ALL STARTED ( MUSIC ) ?

As i child, my heart resonated with every piece of music i was exposed to. My father was a music lover who bought every record of the day as he deemed fit, his enthusiasm was a gateway to my spirit. As i grew, it grew with me and it seemed every contact i made in LiFe’s journey was destiny speaking me to light. I met members of Midnight Crew in Yaba College of Technology and the rest is history.

• LOVE YOUR STYLE OF MUSIC, IT SOUND MORE LIKE FUJI GOSPEL ( TELL US ABOUT IT ) ?

My music style is majorly formed from every genre I’ve been exposed to, i bring my music experiences together to form an entity. Today, my song styles are informed by my target audience and the purpose of the message.

• WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES SO FAR ?

Challenges are part of LiFe’s journey, Challenges give shape to your story. Fame, wealth, relationships, human errors, trainings, people management and other factors form the history. Challenges is what we do.

• CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEWLY RELEASED SONG ?

Yes ooo. OJORO by Mike AbduL ft Clement Whyte is a song i didn’t expect will stir much waters. I wrote as a songwriter’s song, just a piece of art to admire by myself. However upon release it has caused a kind of stirring i did not envisage. I’m so excited.

• TELL US BRIEFLY ON YOUR OPINION ON THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE COUNTRY AND WHAT YOU THINK WE NIGERIANS CAN DO ?

The situation in Nigeria is not hopeless. We did not get here suddenly, accumulations of misplaced policies propelled by selfishness brought us here. Our strong-willed selflessness will bring us some comfort and hope.

• SHOULD WE STILL EXPECT NEW MUSIC ANYTIME SOON ?

Most definitely. My team and i are working on a 10track Mike AbduL album to be released soon.

• THINGS YOU DO OUTSIDE YOUR PROFESSION AS A MUSIC MINISTER ?

I do some farming and basic sales.

• YOUR HOBBIES ?

Traveling, food tasting, writing, listening to good music and reading stories.

• YOUR ADVICE FOR THOSE ASPIRING TO BE AN ARTIST ?

Love it, live it and enjoy yourself. Simplicity is the sweetest craft.
