Nigerian songwriter and singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems who is currently in Ugandan Police custody has refused to eat until the charges against her are dropped.
Tems and Omah Lay were arrested in Uganda for flouting COVID-19 protocols after they went for a concert in the East-African nation with a massive turnout.
A video has been sighted on social media that captures the singer refusing to eat until the charges against her are dropped and released from police custody.
“It’s my body. I don’t want to eat, except you are strapping me to a chair and forcing food down my throat. I have not eaten in the last 24 hours, and I will not eat for the next 48 hours,” she told the woman who offered her food.
