David Moyes makes one change to the starting line-up that drew with Bournemouth last weekend, bringing in James Ward-Prowse for his debut in place of Pablo Fornals.

Mauricio Pochettino also makes one change to his line-up, bringing in Malo Gusto for the injured Reece James. Ben Chilwell wears the captain’s armband in the right-back’s absence.

Moises Caicedo is on the bench for his first match at Chelsea since joining from Brighton, while Romeo Lavia is not in the squad following his switch from Southampton.

And it doesn’t come any easier for them on Saturday when they go east to play an improving West Ham United side, whose fans would love to rub Chelsea’s noses in it.


While it will take time for his expensively-assembled squad to gel, Graham Potter is a man who needs things done in a hurry and get Chelsea to rise up the table from a lowly ninth spot.
