DJ Cuppy in tears as Headies awards snubs her album

Florence Otedola, billionaire Disc Jockey popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has reacted the 2020 Headies awards ‘snubbing’ her album.

Cuppy released her debut project and album ‘original copy’ around August 2020 which falls into the year under review by the Headies.

The album had twelve tracks and features from Nigerian musicians and foreign as well.

The album and Cuppy however received no nomination for her hard work as the Headies released its list of nominees yesterday.

She had taken to her twitter page to lament, posting a picture of her in tears as she tweeted that she’d been ignored by the awards which she seemingly felt she’d deserved.

She wrote:

I got snubbed by the #HeadiesAwards ?…A WHOLE 12-track #OriginalCopy album. Chai!
