CAN WE MEET YOU ?

Hello, I’m Vivek. I’m a student and Social speaker (Mind Tools) living in Hyderabad, India. Currently pursuing my engineering at Sreenidhi Institute of science and technology, one of the top colleges in Hyderabad, India and working as social speaker in Mind tools, HMTV. I passionately learn new things until I master them. I’m a very light hearted and a sportive person.

CAN YOU TELL US THE ADVANTAGES OF BEEN AN INDIAN CITIZEN ?

India today is considered to be one of the major forces in the global economic market. Though India is a developing economy, its economy has a major impact on global trading. The majority of the world’s leading developed nations are keen to have or expand their ties with India. This is mainly because in the current scenario of globalization India is seen as a wonderland for investments. Thanks to its huge market base and fast-developing spending habits of middle-class Indians, India is a preferred destination for investors over other major countries, including China, because India has a favorable business environment, a good administrative setup, attractive foreign policies, and an available, abundant skilled workforce as well as provides attractive incentives to investors.

NIGERIA KNOW AS THE GIANT OF AFRICA, DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ?

Nigeria is often referred to as the “Giant of Africa”, owing to its large population and economy,[22] it is also considered to be an emerging market by the World Bank. it has been identified as a regional power on the African continent, a middle power in international affairs, and has also been identified as an emerging global power.

ARE YOU AWARE OF THE PRESENT SITUATION IN NIGERIA ?

Yes, I’ve researched some news.

CAN YOU TELL US YOUR VIEW ON THE ON GOING PROTEST ?

According to my research. The “giant of Africa” is trying to crush its people. Nigerians across all walks of life, both in the country and in the diaspora, have been protesting police brutality and state violence for nearly two weeks. On Monday, the protests got so large that Lagos, the continent’s largest city, was effectively shut down. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos state, tried to muzzle the energy by imposing a curfew on protesters. As night fell, CCTV cameras were reportedly cut out and Nigerian army officials began firing live rounds at protesters at the Lekki toll gate. The true death toll is unclear, with reports claiming from 12 to 78 dead at Lekki alone. Multiple eyewitnesses told CNN that members of the army were carrying away corpses. Nigeria’s Independence Day is Oct. 1, 1960. But Oct. 20, 2020, will go down in Nigerian history as the day the whole world saw images of the green-and-white striped flag stained with the red blood of protesters bludgeoned by the forces of the state. The abuses of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government are no longer being kept in the dark.

• WHAT ARE THE WAYS YOU THINK IT CAN BE RESOLVED ?

Ways to support the protesters and their cause, that we can do from afar are;
Contribute And demonstrate and support..
